Kegel comments on SPRINT degree being offered this fall.

(Havre) Montana State University classes are starting tomorrow, and New Media Broadcasters got a chance to speak with Chancellor Greg Kegel about the new Diesel Tech SPRINT Degree being offered at the college.

“It was an initiative that the state legislature put together, they refer to it as the sprint degree, and that’s exactly what it is: a fast track, condensed degree. The intent of them is to get in and get out as quickly as you can. Two reasons: it’s going to probably save you some money, and then secondly the needs in the workforce and they need people, and they need bodies, so that’s what it’s all about”

Kegel says this new program is being offered for the first time this fall and is a part of the college’s effort to meet demands and vacant spots in the state’s current work force.
