(Chinook) During the most recent Chinook blood drive, a habitual donor hit his 27th full gallon of total donated blood over the course of his life.
Rodney Johnson, a 72-year-old farmer from Kremlin, has been donating blood since the early 70s when he and his brother went to their first drive at the Methodist Church in Havre.
According to the Red Cross, a single pint of blood can save up to three lives. After donating his 27th gallon of blood, Johnson could have contributed to the saving of 648 lives across his blood donation career.
