(NMB) The Hill County Sheriff’s Office has released that Kurt Pehl, 56 was the victim of the Wednesday morning house fire in Havre. The Havre fire department was dispatched to the scene, the 900 block of fifth avenue at 6:14am on Wednesday. Fire crews knocked down the fire on the first floor and in their search of the residence found Pehl, were able to get him out of the house to an ambulance. Unfortunately, Pehl succumbed to injuries from the fire.
Fire crews extinguished smoldering hot spots inside the residence and remained on scene until 9:45am Wednesday morning.
