Lame Deer Woman Pleads Guilty to Sex Trafficking of Minor in Billings

BILLINGS, Mont. — A Lame Deer woman has admitted to sex trafficking a minor.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 29-year-old Veronica Clarice Baker pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to one count of sex trafficking of a minor.

Prosecutors say Baker arranged a commercial sex encounter between a minor and another adult in April 2023, knowing the victim was under 18.

The incident occurred in Billings.

Baker faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and remains in custody pending sentencing.

The case was investigated by the FBI and prosecuted as part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood initiative.
