Latest Great Northern Fair Board Meeting Details

(Havre) The Great Northern Fair Board met for their monthly meeting.

The meeting began with the Fair Managers report, where Fair Manager Frank English reported that the last month was spent cleaning up following the Fair, and the grounds were preparing for upcoming events like an ag appreciation in October and the Trunk or Treat on Halloween, the fair is looking for more volunteers and sponsors for these events.

Buildings and Grounds Manager Bob Kaul reported a proposal to change the siding on buildings on the Fair grounds to metal to save the groundskeepers from needing to maintain the paint and will look for bids for that and other projects.

The fair board reports that number of vendors were down, but revenue was up 7 percent and expenses were down 10 percent, and after all was said and done, profit was up 16 percent.

The next meeting is scheduled for September 17th.
