Havre, MT – MSU-Northern Skylights basketball senior guard Taya Trottier is averaging a career-high 10.1 points per game this season as part of a dangerous starting five for the Skylights.
Head coach of the Skylights, Chris Mouat says that Trottier’s skills at the point guard position is the key their offensive system.
“Well, she has been the starting point guard for three years. She’s got experience, she knows our system, she is a very good athlete capable of getting to the rim, good from the three-point line. She understands our system and where the ball has got to go and I think her assist to turn over ratio is really good and she is just kind of the engine that runs us right now.
Trottier has a stellar 2.1 to 1 assist to turn over ration and is averaging a career high 4.8 rebounds per game while shooting 52% from the field and 44% from behind the three-point line
