(Havre) The Lethbridge Miners put a halt to Havre’s ten game winning streak on Saturday winning both games of a doubleheader on Saturday evening 6 to 3 and 7 to 4. In game one Havre got on the board with one run in the bottom of the 1st inning on a RBI single from Jevin Jenkins, Lethbridge scored two runs in the top of the second inning and four more runs in the 5th and would go on to win by a final score of 6 to 3. Kale Reno took the loss on the mound for the Northstars . Offensively for Havre, Drake Berreth, Terek Shipp, Connor McKay and Ezra Pyle had multiple hits.
In game two the game slipped away early from the N0rthstars and they would not recover. Lethbridge score three runs in the second inning, two in the fourth and two more in the sixth inning, on their way to the 7 to 4 victory. Havre got all three of their runs in the sixth inning. Terek Shipp took the loss for Havre, he surrendered seven runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out four.
The Northstars will look to get back in the win column Sunday when they host Fort McLeod for a 1pm doubleheader.
