(Lewistown) The Montana Department of Commerce announced that 37 Montana communities were selected to share nearly 1 million dollars in grant funding to create more affordable workforce housing.
One such community was the city of Lewistown, which will receive just over 20 thousand dollars for public engagement in supports of its growth policy update.
These funds are a result of the Montana Community Reinvestment Plan passed by Montana Legislature in 2023 as House Bill 819, with the stated purpose of addressing housing needs in Montana.
