Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern Lights basketball announced earlier this week the commitment of junior college transfer Shay Brannon, to play basketball in the 2026-2027 season.
Lights head coach Shawn Huse told New Media Broadcaster Sports what Brannon will bring to floor. “He’s kind of somebody that does everything well. He is somebody that can guard anybody at any position. Coach Huse said.
“The biggest thing we noticed in watching him this year was just his twitch, his speed, his explosiveness, his toughness, a real active guy getting his hands on lots of rebounds. Offensively he is good off the bounce at making plays in scoring and he can knock down open shots.”
The Lights finished with 18 wins a season ago and return multiple key players to the roster.
