Havre, MT – Summer has shown its face which means that Montana State University-Northern football is organizing their summer camps. This week the Lights will host three different camps in three days.
Starting Thursday MSU-Northern football will host their six/eight-man camp for grades 9-12. Lights defensive coordinator Dylan Wampler says Northern Camps are all about the development of the kids.
“This is our opportunity to Montana kids to come out and get evaluated. We always tell our guys don’t think you’re going to go to this camp, and you can’t use anything for anything else.” Coach Wampler stated.
“We want these kids we have in our six/eight-man camp that will never get a 40 time or like a true vertical jump, broad jump and three cone drill, so we’re using this a sort of combine; for one we want to evaluate these guys, get to know them but its also something they can take to other places if that’s what they want to do.”
Friday June 12, Coach Wampler and the Lights coaching staff will welcome in the 11-man players in grades 9-12 for the second camp of the week. The youth camp for grades k-8 on Saturday June 13, is the Lights final summer camp.
