Havre, MT – MSU-Northern Lights basketball has started the season 4-2 without playing a single home game.
The Lights played three non-conference neutral site games and four true road games, with three of them being conference games.
Things change for the Lights in the month of December as they are set to host four home conference games and two non-conference home games over the Christmas break.
Head coach of the Lights Shawn Huse spoke to what his team learned on the road and their excitement for the home opener this weekend.
“I’m really excited. Our guys, I can’t say enough about them, being a new group like this and having literally every game we’ve played so far this season has been on the road. we knew that coming in but we also knew it would be good for us. We’ve been pretty battled tested, so I think that’s been good for us. But yeah, we’re really excited and of course having our awesome fans and the support we have in our gym. We’ve gotten through the November road month and now were on the December home month.” Huse Said.
The Lights host Dickinson State Saturday at 7p.m. and will turn around to play Bismark State on Sunday at 2p.m.
