Havre, MT – Heading into the weekend Northern is 1-0 in conference play and have won their last four games after dropping the season opener. The lights looks to stay unbeaten as they take on the Bruins of Bellevue University on Friday at 6p.m. and the Trojans of Dakota State on Saturday at 6p.m.
As Lights basketball embarks on their longest road trip of the season, there are some things in basketball that stay the same for coach Huse.
“Get our stops. I think it always starts with defense. Just finding was to come up with the rebounds. Finding ways to come with steals and come up with points on the other end. It’s pretty generic, I realize, but it’s really true and that’s where it all begins no matter who you’re playing and where you’re playing them. You got to get stubborn and set the tone with your defense, especially on the road.” Huse said.
