A few of NMB-area high school basketball talents will headline the 2025 Montana-Wyoming All-Star Basketball Series later this year. Out of the 20 players from both Treasure State rosters, 19 will be playing college basketball next season in the NCAA or NAIA. The one who is undecided will also have a promising collegiate career once he makes his announcement about playing sports in college.
Tracen Jilot from Box Elder and Bohdi Brenden from Malta were selected among 10 players on the boys’s side who will get to compete as part of the Treasure State group against the fellows from down south. The Montana girls’ will also have a team going up against Wyoming and Saco-Whitewater-Hinsdale (North Country)’s Shelbri LaBrie will be on that squad.
Once again, the Keller’s will be coaching their respective teams. The boys’s sideline will be patrolled by Steve Keller, who has the most wins as a high school boys’ basketball coach in the state of Montana. He is the current head coach of the only professional basketball team in the state in the Great Falls Electric. His son, Wes, who is Rocky Mountain women’s basketball’s all-time winningest coach, will be the girls’ coach for this Montana-Wyoming All-Star game.
Wyoming is looking for its first winning streak in years as the boys won last season for the first time in 22 tries. Meanwhile, the Montana girls have been dominant, taking the last 15 games dating back to 2017. The games will kick off on Jun. 13 at the Pronghorn Center in Gillette, WY before moving the next day to Lockwood High School.
