(Havre) – As previously reported by New Media Broadcasters, On August 22nd, the Hill County Commissioners made changes to the county longevity pay plan. At Thursday’s Hill County Commissioner’s business meeting, Commissioner Sheri Williams, made a motion to rescind the longevity pay system to review it and complete the review by December 31st, of 2024. After discussion by those attendance at the meeting, the commissioner’s rescinded the longevity pay plan they passed in August, 3-0.
Following rescinding the previous longevity pay plan, The Hill County Commissioners updated the policy language on longevity pay to reflect Hill County employees will receive a 1% increase to their current base pay as a Cost-of-Living Adjustment. This policy change was needed so Hill County Auditor Kathy Olson can calculate the 1% increase for each county employee. The motion to update the policy passed 3-0.
The next meeting of the Hill County Commissioners will be on Thursday, September 12th, 10am inside their office at the Hill County Courthouse.
