HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A man who police say they found passed out in the Havre Town Pump parking lot with more than seven grams of methamphetamine on him has been charged with two felonies.
According to an affidavit filed in Hill County District Court on January 2nd, Havre Police Officers found Kobe Allen Scott Miller passed out in his vehicle on December 4.
Officers opened the running car to shut the vehicle off and wake Miller up. Officers recognized the smell of burnt marijuana in the vehicle and removed Miller from the vehicle for officer safety due to the presence of several knives. After an investigation, Miller was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
Hill County Detention Center staff searched Miller and found 7.2 grams of methamphetamine on his person. After a search warrant on Miller’s vehicle was granted, agents additionally found a digital scale and a snort tube, among other items.
Miller faces felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs and property subject to criminal forfeiture, as well as misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Miller remains in the Hill County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
