Man Killed after Being Struck on Snowy Highway

ANACONDA, Mont. (NMB) – An 84-year-old Kalispell man was struck and killed on a snow and ice covered I-90 east near Anaconda on Wednesday, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

There was low visibility on the road during the crash, which occurred at 2:20 PM at mile marker 215, when a 77-year-old Butte man was driving a a Subaru Outback that went off the road to the left, entered the median and impacted a GMC Yukon that had been involved in a previous crash.

The Outback also drove over the Kalispell man, who was standing outside of his Yukon. The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The two occupants of the Outback, a 77-year-old and 73-year-old from Butte, were not injured.
