Dave Brewer Commander of American Legion Post #11 led the ceremony and said being able to do so means a lot to him.
“It means a lot, especially to me having served twenty-seven years in the military. I’ve lost a lot of brothers and sisters over time. A lot of people I’ve known and cherished as friends and so it does, it means a lot to me to do this and to do it correctly and hopefully with honor.”-Brewer
The events continued at the Eagles Club with the MIA Empty Chair ceremony, An Elks Flag Speech, Essay speeches by St. Jude School students and concluded with a free will offering lunch.
