MFU hosts Fairness for Farmers webpage.

(Montana Farmers Union) The Montana Farmers Union is hosting an information web page on the self-proclaimed “Right to Repair” movement.

The movement is in response to increase technological integration in farm equipment, which they say can cause hardship on farmer-operators seeking to repair their own machines.

MFU says only authorized technicians can access the critical software tools required to fix these high-tech tractors, leaving farmers unable to repair their equipment or rely on independent mechanics.

Those for the tech say that integrations have increased productivity for farmers and producers.

MFU says that these practices are one of many that are causing a monopoly crisis on farmers and producers within American agriculture, more information can be found here.
