HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Saturday, August 17th, the Milk River Gobblers will be hosting their first ever youth day to help get kids excited about turkey and bird hunting. Member Jeff Dibblee says this free event will feature lunch for the kids and their guardians, and everyone is invited.
“It will be held at the Havre Trap Club 11 AM until 4 and all youths are invited. Youths who are 14 years of age and younger will be eligible to win one of two 410 Mossberg camouflage shotguns.”
Dibblee says they will have plenty of games and fun for the kids who participate.
“We’re going to have some shooting games. We’ll shoot clay pigeons, helium balloons. We’re going to have camouflage face painting. They’ll be a table set up on the techniques of hunting turkeys with bow and arrow.”
Kids who wish to participate are welcome to bring their own guns and ammunition, however, Dibblee says that one of their primary goals is to promote gun safety.
