SILVER BOW COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Highway Patrol reports that a 34-year-old Missoula man was killed after he apparently jumped in front of a truck on I-15 in Silver Bow County on Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred at 6:10 Am at mile marker 121 of I-15 South, when a Freightliner being driven by a 59-year-old Michigan man drifted slightly off the right side of the roadway.
The pedestrian was northbound in the southbound shoulder. According to dashcam footage from the truck, the pedestrian jumped towards the traffic lane as the vehicle struck him.
The truck driver pulled over and reported the crash. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
