Missoula Man Sentenced to Prison for Meth and Fentanyl

(Missoula) – A Missoula man was sentenced today for possessing methamphetamine and over 3,500 fentanyl pills.

Joseph Anthony Schrantz was arrested after stealing a Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun and being pulled over on the side of the road after police identified him, upon being pulled over police discovered the meth and fentanyl in his vehicle. Shwartz was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by 5 years of supervised release. The defendant pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances in April 2023.

United States District Judge Donald W. Molloy presided over the case.
