Montana 250th Honorees

(Washington D.C.) – As the nation celebrates its landmark 250th anniversary this year, a year-long state initiative continues to spotlight the exceptional people who shaped Big Sky Country.

The Montana 250th Commission’s “Montana Innovators” project has been running all year, honoring influential figures in the Congressional Record.

For August, the focus turned to natural resources and timber management. Last month, Senator Steve Daines recognized Libby logger Bruce Vincent, while Senator Tim Sheehy honored the state’s wildland and aerial firefighters. In the House, Representative Ryan Zinke praised the Montana Logging Association, and Representative Troy Downing highlighted Sherm Anderson of Sun Mountain Lumber.
