ST. LOUIS, Mo. (NMB) – The 2020 Grow Rural Education program, which provides Montana farmers with the opportunity to nominate local rural public schools for $15,000 grants designed to enhance STEM education, is officially underway.
This program has awarded more than $18 million to more than 1,000 schools nationwide since the program began in 2011.
In Montana, $35,000 has been awarded to schools across the state, thanks to the participation of local farmers.
Now through April 1st, farmers can nominate their school district by visiting Americasfarmers.com.
STEM stands for science, technology engineering and math.
