Montana Medical Students to Present Research About State’s Healthcare Challenges

(Bozeman) – Thirty Montana medical students are set to present research aimed at addressing healthcare challenges throughout the state and region. The public open house will take place Friday, October 30th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Entrance 1 lobby of Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center.

The presenters are second-year students in the WWAMI (Whammy) program, a cooperative medical education partnership between the University of Washington School of Medicine and five Pacific Northwest states, including Montana.

During the poster session, students will showcase a variety of localized projects. Featured research includes an initiative in Sidney focused on protecting respiratory health from agricultural dust, as well as a community exercise program in Sanders County designed to improve fall recovery for adults.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees can RSVP online or by contacting Montana WWAMI directly by phone or email.
