(Helena) The Montana State Library Commission(MSLC) has withdrawn from the American Library Association(ALA).
In a release on July 13th the ALA announced that the MSLC had withdrawn from their membership and by doing so were no longer able to use their membership services. The Montana Library Association on July 11th released a statement deeply regretting the withdrawal of the MSLC and promised to remain a resource and professional network for Montana’s library communities.
The MSLC has not issued a statement yet as to why the withdrawal was made.
