Montana Wednesday COVID Update

HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services reported 655 new COVID-19 cases and 31 new deaths across the state in their Wednesday morning update.

16 of the 31 newly reported deaths occurred in February. 22 of the deaths are from Flathead County, three are from Gallatin, and there is one each from Big Horn, Granite, Hill, Rosebud, Sweet Grass, and Yellowstone.

Two counties reported at least 100 new COVID-19 cases, led by Cascade with 154 and Flathead with 153.

The active hospitalization count dropped from 212 to 164, while the active case count rose slightly to 2,348.

The percentage of eligible Montanans considered fully immunized remains at 54 percent, with over 1.4 million vaccine doses administered.
