(Helena) The Montana Public Service Commission says that the average residential costumer can expect to see a decrease in their electric and natural gas bills across the state.
The PSC said in a press release that, due to tax adjustments lowering costs for energy suppliers, state law requires those savings to be included in the customers energy bills.
NorthWestern says they are seeing a cost of service decrease to the tune of tens of millions of dollars, which translates to a decrease in around 7 dollars a month for the average electric bill and around 4.50 a month for the average gas bill.
Energy West Montana, Cut Bank Gas, and Montana Dakota Utilities also report decreases in service costs.
