HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Department of Public Health and Human Services reported 2,860 new COVID-19 cases across Montana in their Tuesday morning update as the active case count surpassed 15,000 for the first time this pandemic.
Active hospitalizations continue to be on the rise as well, with 331 Montanans currently hospitalized with COVID-19.
Six counties reported over 100 new cases of the virus Tuesday, led by Gallatin with 485, Yellowstone with 440, Missoula with 348 and Cascade with 248.
54 percent of eligible Montanans are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as over 1.371 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered statewide.
