(Havre) – Today October 18th Montana’s Troubadour Jack Gladstone will be holding a show at the Montana Actors Theater stage at 8 pm. Dr. Grant Olsen Artistic Director of Montana Actors Theater and President of the Hi-line Arts Council talks about the show.
“This is one of the Hi-line Arts Council’s programs, so as a group were kind of looking to recreate what the Community Concert and Northern Showcase Experience was in Havre a few years ago and so were bringing Montana treasure really Jack Gladstone to Havre again. He played at Havre high school years ago and it’s been a while since he’s been back. So, Jack has been named Montana’s Troubadour he’s a storyteller, a singer a song writer, he tells the history of the Native Americans and living off the Black Feet Reservation at Browning and it’s just an all-around entertaining evening.”
He goes on to explain what the proceeds from the show will be put toward.
“So, this show is being produced by the Hi-line Arts Council and it’s in collaboration with the Little River Institute at MSU-Northern and also the support of the Montana Actors Theater. So, what we’re doing as an organization is that were looking to bring different events into Havre that we don’t always get here and so Havre has a very rich cultural music scene, theater scene, and visual arts but we think that it can always be improved on, and we view the idea of bringing in outside groups a as way to improve just the quality of life in Havre. this show itself is just a $20 per person ticket. It’s going to go toward producing more events like this in Havre.”
