HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – Two candidates have recently entered their names into the 2022 race for Montana’s new seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Democrat Laurie Bishop, a state legislator from Livingston, and Republican Al Olszewski, a former State Senator from Kalispell, have both announced their intent to compete for the new House seat that Montana will be getting due to the results of the 2020 Census.
Former U.S. Congressman and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, has also entered his name into the Republican primary for the new seat.
The boundaries of the new District are expected to be drawn later this year by a Commission in Helena.
