(Hi-Line) The Milk River Project and Bureau of Reclamation held their bi-weekly St. Mary Siphon Replacement Briefing on Thursday.
This meeting went over progress on the individual pieces of the project. Officials said the inlet tie-in and outlet tie-in portions of the structures will be finished soon, the inlet portion being the last step before backfilling can begin.
Once backfilling is done, the county road in that area can be returned to it’s normal spot.
Officials also said that deliveries of water out of Fresno Reservoir began on Tuesday of this week and will run for two weeks; this will likely be their only release of water for this irrigation season.
The discussions on the Phillips 66 pipeline, and how it’ll pass through the St. Mary’s siphon area, are still ongoing.
