(Bozeman) – A Montana State University graduate was awarded a three year Fulbright Scholarship to National Cheng Kung University in Tainun,Taiwan where she will continue her studies of Mandarin and pursue a masters degree in history beginning in the fall.
Madeline Hemenway originally intended to pursue a career in international law but switched paths to pursue her interest in Chinese history. Hemenway stated that she owes her Fulbright opportunity to the faculty in all the departments she where she studied and with special regards toward Chinese Language professor Hua Li and Associate Professor Maggie Greene.
