(Havre) – Montana State University – Northern women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of 5-foot 7-inch guard Aiyanna Big Man of Hardin to join the Skylights for the 2024-25 season.
Big Man transfers to the Skylights from Cowley Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas. In an injury shortened 2023-24 season She appeared in ten games, averaging just under eight points a game.
Coach Mouat said “Aiyanna is a talented player with a lot to offer. She was a very good player in high school playing for Coach Cindy Farmer and was off to a good start at Cowley before getting hurt. She can really extend defenses with her range from the three-point line, and she does a nice job of getting the ball to the open person. We are excited about her future as a Skylight.”
At Hardin, Big Man help lead the Bulldogs to a Class A state title appearance in 2023. She was a first All-Conference and All-State selection while averaging double figures and graduated with a 3.4 grade point average. Aiyanna plans on majoring in Integrated Health Science at MSU-Northern.
