MSU-Northern Rodeo Results – Second Montana State Rodeo

After a Saturday night showcase, eight MSU-Northern cowboys and cowgirls would return on Sunday for the final round of the second Montana State rodeo in Bozeman. They were:

Georgia Orahood – Breakaway roping, Goat tying
Kenda Statham – Goat tying
Brooklin Baukol – Barrel racing, Goat tying
Brier Selvidge – Steer wrestling
Preston Bird -Team roping
Chance Threeirons – Team roping
Kellen Statham – Team roping
Talan Cummins – Team roping

Orahood was crowned the breakaway roping champion when it was all said and done, achieving an average time of two seconds for the long go. Kenda Statham got into the top-6 in goat tying, doing it in 6.8 seconds for the long go. Another finish was Kellen Statham and Cummins, who teamed up to rope at 6.9 seconds, good for third in the long go.

ThreeIrons and Bird were a duo who got to the short go and got it done in 15.9 seconds and in fifth place. The pair had a sixth-place average of 23.4 seconds. Selvidge was a third-place steer wrestler in the long go as he got to 4.6 seconds in his attempt.

MSU-N will host a Big Sky Region rodeo at the Bigger Better Barn next Friday and Saturday.
