For the fall/winter break, the MSU Northern lady’s rodeo team is ranked number one in the nation with 1998.5 points. The Skylights also lead the Big Sky standings. The Lights team is ranked at number twelve in the nation, and hold the number four slot in the Big Sky.
Individually, Mikenna Schauer is nationally ranked number one All Around with 1596 points. She also leads the nation in Breakaway Roping and Goat Tying, and sits at number three in Team Roping as a Header. Kenda Statham is slotted at number 13 in Goat Tying.
Garrett Cunningham is the top Saddle Bronc rider in the nation. Preston Bird is ranked fourth as Team Roping Header, while Gavin McLean has earned the number three slot, and Talan Cummins at number four in the nation, as Heelers in Team Roping.
The Northern rodeo teams are in hiatus until April 11, when the resume action at MSU in Bozeman.
