The Montana State University Northern Lights and Skylights Rodeo Teams started their season over the weekend at Northwest College. Coach Doug Kallenberger was pleased with both teams opening weekend performances. “Across the board we had anywhere from returning kids to Freshman to brand new transfer students that all pointed, all finished within the top eight. That’s what we’re looking for, consistency here.”
The Dawson Community College Rodeo is Friday and Saturday in Glendive. Coach Kallenberger discusses what his expectations are for his athletes this weekend. “The main thing is we’re going to just make the runs on the stock that we have drawn. We’re going to try and do the best to our ability. We’ll react, things happen, but finish our runs. Showing up everyday, being focused, help each other out, make the runs on the cattle you got drawn on, don’t quit and let the chips fall where they fall at the end.”
