MSUN Likely to Have Interim Chancellor for Next Academic Year

(Havre) – Montana State University – Northern needs a new chancellor after the retirement of Greg Kegel on August 1st. During the May Board of Regents meeting in Havre, Montana State University President Dr. Brock Tessman explained what leadership at MSU-Northern will look like for the 2026-27 academic year.

“We’re very likely going to look at an interim rather than try to rush a search. August 1st is going to come up a lot faster than people imagine and really the focus is finding a permanent Chancellor.”
