MISSOULA, Mont. — Montana Tech will host the official launch of “Dinosaurs of Montana” on Dec. 16 in the Montana Tech Library Auditorium, featuring authors Jack Horner and Raymond Rogers speaking and signing copies according to NBC Montana
The book, co-authored by Horner—famous for consulting on the Jurassic Park movies—and Rogers, and published with the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology, combines Montana’s dinosaur history, geology, species listings, and memoir, with photos from decades of discovery and original artwork. From the Preface: “‘Dinosaurs of Montana’ is personal, grounded, and packed with the kind of hard-earned insights that come only from years doing the work, walking in the footsteps of those who came before, and looking at the same old rocks and bones with brand-new eyes. If you’ve ever stood in awe before a dinosaur skeleton and wondered where it came from—really came from—this is the book for you.”
A softcover edition is available for $20 through the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology. A limited-edition hardbound copy ($30) will be available at the launch and afterwards while supplies last.
