NAMI Providing Classes for People Struggling with Mental Illness

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – As the pandemic continues to drag on, the Havre affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness is reminding the public that they are here to provide help and support.

Havre Chapter President Crystal Lauffer says they have numerous classes available both virtually and in-person.

“We have Family to Family, Family and Friends, Family Support, and In Our Own Voice, and anybody can call that’s interested in any of the classes and we will set something up.”

Lauffer says she has noticed that the pandemic is taking a toll on mental health on the Hi-Line.

“It’s just been really hard on people, and I think families and (individuals) are reaching out to us…We’re open to everyone, and all of our classes are free to the public.”
