New Construction Bids Are In!

The Great Northern Fair Grounds is getting ready for the winter. The water has been shut off, and the last water leak has been taken care of. The board agreed, “we should be in good shape for the winter.”

Aside from typical winter prep a different project is underway at the Fairgrounds. The horse pavilion has roof damage, and new construction bids to remove the roof and asses the damage are in.

So far the board has found that the beams are good, but in order to assess further the roof needs to be removed. The current best bid according to the board is approximately $22,000. That bid includes removing the roof, repairing a section of the roof, as well as putting a synthetic underlayment. The underlayment will preserve the building for winter. The board then approved the estimate and will be continuing with the project.
