New Temporary Superintendent Selected for Glacier National Park

GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, Mont. (NMB) – The Flathead Beacon reports that Kate Hammond has been selected as the new interim Superintendent for Glacier National Park.

The news follows the announcement that Jeff Mow is resigning as Park Superintendent at the end of the year after serving in the role for eight years.

Hammond has been the National Park Service’s deputy regional director of the intermountain region since 2016 and has previously worked at the Little Bighorn Battlefield.

A permanent replacement is expected to be hired before the summer season.
