(NMB) New Media Broadcasters reported on Wednesday that the Hill County Council on aging was going to implement an activity fee of twenty dollars per month
beginning March 1st, for participation in a activities at the Havre Senior Center like coffee club, games, bingo and pool. Commissioner Sherry Williams contacted
New Media Broadcasters and said that after visiting with the state, they legally cannot proceed with that idea because of Ttitle III-B (Title 3) of the Federal Older
Americans Act. In Montana Title III- B services are delivered through the states network of area agencies on aging. Therefore, there will be no Activity fee at the
Havre Senior Center and The Hill County Council on aging will, of course, not proceed with that idea.
