North Star Superintendent to Step Down

RUDYARD, Mont (NMB) – North Star Public Schools District Superintendent Bart Hawkins has announced that he is stepping down from his position in order to take a job elsewhere.

Hawkins will complete his tenure on October 7th, and the District is looking for someone to fill the Superintendent position on an interim basis for the remainder of the school year.

Hawkins, who has been the Superintendent since 2013, says he has nothing but love for the North Star District, but the opportunity he is being provided was too good to pass up.

The North Star School Board is expected to conduct a full search for a new Superintendent this spring.

The District serves Kremlin, Gildford, Hingham and Rudyard and operates on a four-day school week.

The District says they are looking for someone who will provide “steady guidance and develop relationships with the staff students, and North Star Communities.” The job posting adds that the person chosen will be given consideration for continuing in the position beyond this year if they choose to apply in the spring.
