MSU Northern traveled to Billings on Saturday to face Rocky Mountain College.
The ladies opened up the day, and it was the Lady Battlin’ Bears from the start. Rocky held a 22-12 lead after one and moved to a 34-16 halftime lead. The Lady Bears extended their lead in the third to 51-27 and rolled to a 71-42 victory.
Canzas HisBadHorse was the lone Skylight in double figures for the day with 10.
In the second session, the Lights trailed by as much as 10 in the first half, battling back to a 28-24 deficit at the half. Rocky Mountain remained undeterred as they held off their guest to claim the win 62-52.
Cinque Maxwell topped Lights scoring with 20, with Jack Reardon adding 12 to the effort.
Northern is back on the court Thursday night, with the University of Providence visiting the Armory Gym. Women start things off at 5p, with the Lights and Argos meeting up at 7p. Heading into district tournament weekend for high school teams, the Northern games will air Thursday evening on KOJM.
