Havre, MT – With the first game of the 2025 season for Lights basketball rising into view there is a new visual to the season as a whole.
The remodeled Frontier Conference has become a 12-team league after the addition of teams from the Northstar conference.
Long time head coach for Lights basketball Shawn Huse had many thoughts on what it will mean for his team this season, but the road trips stand out the most.
“None of these guys have ever stepped foot into a lot of these gyms so it’s going to be brand new everything this year which should be exciting. Obviously, the travel is a challenge. You gotta plan well and make sure that you’re on point with that stuff so you get yourself every chance you get to be rested and ready to go, but you know everybody’s going to have to do it.”
The Lights start the season with seven straight road games before playing at Armory gym. Northern opens the season in Helena against St. Thomas University Friday, October 24, at 5p.m.
