Another recruit is coming to MSU-Northern women’s basketball. Head coach Chris Mouat announced on Friday afternoon the signing of Canzas HisBadHorse to his roster for the 2024-25 season and beyond. HisBadHorse, who stands six feet tall, will add more paint presence to an already formidable lineup of post players like Shyan Krass and Savannah Toms.
“She has the ability to play both inside and out, and is a proven three-point shooter,” Mouat said in a press release of his latest signing. “She can change the game on defense with her length and has very good timing blocking shots.”
HisBadHorse is a transfer from Williston State College of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), where she starred for the Lady Tetons and was named a First-Team All-Mondak Conference selection. Her defense included 53 blocked shots and 39 steals last season. She had averages of 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in 2023-24.
Before moving to Williston to start her collegiate career, HisBadHorse was a standout at Colstrip High School in Southeastern Montana. The Lame Deer native was an MHSA State Class ‘B’ champion, helping the school to its title during the 2021-22 season.
While at MSU-Northern, HisBadHorse will be an integrated health science major.
