Havre, MT – It has been 16 days since Havre Northstar baseball has played a home game in early June. They have competed at back-to-back tournaments sandwiched by a couple of conference road games.
Havre head coach Ben Mader spoke to the great it will feel to play at American Legion Field once again. “yeah the boys are pretty excited about playing at home. It’s been a pretty good stretch, they’ve traveled fairly well but they always like to play in front of their home crowd.”
“I would say quite a bit because it’s always very friendly here. They’ve got their crowd and they’re excited to perform in front of them.” Coach Mader said regarding how much the Havre crowd feeds his teams confidence.
The Northstar coach does know that even though they are at home there will be specific keys his team has to execute to pull out the win. ” Just being clean in the field. Our pitching will be alright today we’ve got some starters coming back. And hitting the ball, which they have been doing.”
Havre will look to bounce back against the Great Falls Chargers Wednesday evening after suffering three losses this past weekend to sit with a 12-13-1 record midway through season. First pitch is set for 5:30p.m.
