(Vauxhall, Alberta) The Havre Northstars advanced to the semi-final round of the North District American Legion baseball tournament on Friday afternoon with a 3-0 shutout of the Lewistown Redbirds. Havre scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the second inning. Connor McKay doubled to start the inning, Jevin Jenkins singled. Kale reno then laid down a sacrifice bunt scoring Mckay from third. Chason Mader reached base on an error scoring Jenkins and Colter Solomon had an RBI single. That would be all the scoring Havre would need.
Tanner Delarosa was good on the mound. The lefty gave up 8 hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking two.
With the win, the Northstars advance to Saturday’s semifinals. First Pitch is scheduled for 4pm.
