Havre, MT – Havre Northstar baseball is looking to head into the holiday weekend with a win after Wednesday night’s split in great falls.
Northstar head coach Ben Mader told New Media Broadcaster Sports what he took away from Wednesday’s contest. “We gotta try and limit free bases, especially when we are in kind of a marathon. I’d say that’s the biggest takeaway.”
Coach Mader also stated he is not worried about his teams focus on the heels of Independence Day and gave keys to come out with a Havre win against a strong Vauxhall team.
“I don’t see any big game plans needing to change. I think that they’ll take that loss and learn from it and move forward. We are got to be clean because they are going to be well coached and they play very very good baseball, so we are going to have to be clean in the field and aggressive at the plate.”
First pitch is schedule for 3p.m. at American Legion field.
