Havre, MT – Last night the Havre Northstars hosted the Lewistown Redbirds for senior night. Game one required extra innings with Havre pulling out the 4-3 victory. In game two theNorthstars won handedly 12-1.
Game one was a defensive battle through the first seven innings that saw Lewistown hold the 3-1 lead until the Northstars knocked in two runs to force extra innings. In the bottom of the ninth Ezra Pyle hits a ground ball to send Conner Essert home for the deciding run capping off the 4-3 win.
The senior night festivities took place in-between the games. Havre recognized Colter Solomon, Ezra Pyle, Chasson Mader and Tanner DeLarosa.
In game two Havre exploded with nine runs in the first inning and eventually closed the game out 12-1. Tyson Brandon and DeLarosa each drove home three RBIs on two hits.
